IMPORTANT UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
January 20th, 2025

While we remain hopeful for continued work opportunities throughout the winter, we understand that adverse weather conditions may impede our ability to do so.

Considering the extended forecast and its potential impact on our operations, we want to ensure everyone is well-informed about the unemployment filing process and encourage those who are able to begin the filing process.

As we navigate through challenging weather conditions, it’s crucial to accurately file your unemployment claims. The initial claim process might be confusing when selecting the reason for “separation.”

When providing your hire date, please use your actual hire date. If you need this information, reach out to James or Brittany.

For those anticipating a layoff with plans for a spring recall (you can use May 1st as a recall date), we recommend selecting either “Part-time/Hours Reduced” or “Laid Off.” Both options align with our situation, and we can furnish necessary details when unemployment requires additional information. Also please avoid saying anything related to “Natural Disaster”.

If you expect to have some hours during the layoff (partial layoff), please choose the “Part-time/Hours Reduced” option. This allows you to claim partial weeks without restarting the claim whenever you receive a check from us.

For those entering a full layoff until the spring recall, choose “Laid Off,” although either option could work.

Your cooperation in ensuring accurate and timely filings is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Brittany in the office. Additionally, if unemployment requires documentation stating a Recall Date, James or Brittany can provide that information when needed.

Contact Brittany at 610-942-2400, option #5 if you come across any questions as it pertains to any unemployment filing questions.
