New Holland Parade

On October 4th, the streets of New Holland came alive as our community gathered for the annual New Holland Farmers Fair's Spectacle of Bands Parade. This cherished event marked the beginning of the four-day fair, a celebration of farm life and community spirit. Lyons & Hohl was honored to be a part of this year's parade, and we're excited to share our unforgettable experience with you.

Every year, the heart of New Holland undergoes a vibrant transformation into a celebration of farm and community. The crisp autumn air becomes fragrant with the sweet scents of funnel cakes, hot cinnamon rolls, and cotton candy, while the sounds of laughter and dazzling lights infuse the midway with excitement. The Spectacle of Bands Parade, held on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., serves as the grand opening of the fair, drawing a massive crowd along its two-mile route.

The fair, affectionately known as the "Farm Show," has been a beloved tradition for over 75 years, steeped in rich history. It features a diverse range of activities and exhibits, including FFA tractor driving contests, Swine and Sheep Shows, tug-of-war competitions, pedal power events, and much more.

This year, Lyons & Hohl was thrilled to be a part of the Spectacle of Bands Parade. We owe a big thank you to Tyler E., who drove his Service Truck, which we believe is one of the finest in the area. Larry F. turned heads with his striking new Peterbilt Triaxle, and Aaron E. was behind the wheel of our 1987 Mack Super Liner, the first new tractor purchased by Lyons & Hohl, reminding everyone of our long-standing presence in the community.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the family members who joined us in the parade, making it a truly special family affair. Your support and enthusiasm are deeply appreciated. A special shout-out to Dakota, who joined in the fun at the last minute and walked the entire route, spreading joy to the children in the crowd. Dakota distributed candy and stickers, bringing smiles to the faces of both young and old.

At Lyons & Hohl, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years, and everyone's involvement was a testament to that commitment. As we reflect on this year's Spectacle of Bands Parade, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to connect with our community in such a memorable way. We are already looking forward to next year's parade with great anticipation. Our goal is to make our participation even more spectacular, so keep an eye out for Lyons & Hohl as we strive to make the parade an even bigger and more exciting event next year!
